Horse Burger, Ljubljana

Out and About Daily ~ For January 3, 2014

How much is a horse burger in your neighborhood? Here you can get one for 4 EUR, about 5.50 USD.

Besides the equine sandwich price check, the highlight of today’s About Town –the second straight gallery in my new daily mobile photo project!— is a visit to Ljubljana’s castle hill as part of my first cross town hill-to-hill bike ride ‘workout’ of the year. There’s also a stop at the central market and a quick glance of my favorite sculpture in front of the national museum of modern art, that of a young boy shouting sweet nothings toward the sky.

Check out the entire dandy dozen here.

Elsewhere:

I managed to use ‘boobies’ in a blog post headline today, and it’s only January 3. It’s going to be a good year.

The most beautiful piece of art I discovered today was this one, Frozen Moments, by Karen Gadient. Check out her blog and follow her on twitter.

And the most beautiful song I listened to was Kanou by Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara. Listen and love. FYI She’ll be performing in Alberta, Canada at the end of the month.
