Today’s Pics du Jour inaugurate another (near) daily photo project hereby dubbed the Street Crawl Daily Dozen, a selection of mobile snaps shot and collected in and around Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital.

Part street photography part documentary, it’s going to be an exercise in speed, one that will help keep me sharp, consider quick compositions, work within the limits of the gear, and make me select and edit photos with maniacal abandon. The ultimate goal is to create a capsule summary or snapshot of Ljubljana beyond the few cliche tourist images you may have seen. And to do it quickly.

This project will only include images snapped with my Samsung Galaxy 3 mobile phone and will, with very few exceptions, be published exclusively on my Google + stream with the daily albums limited to 12 shots. I’m shooting to create a gallery five or six times a week. Check out the rest in the inaugural album on my Google + stream below. I’d love to hear your feedback, good or bad.

Similar in style was last winter’s Piran Cafe Wall Scrawl Daily project which documented street art and graffiti in Ljubljana over a five-week period. It will be revisited either in late autumn 2014 or early winter 2015.
Note that other projects shot with my DSLR and film cameras will continue to appear separately, mainly here on the blog.
