I’m working with a very slow connection tonight and there’s a DJ blasting Moroccan dance pop at a wedding party a few blocks away, so the wrap for the 251st straight Pic du Jour will be necessarily brisk so I can shut down, stuff plugs into my ears and try to get some sleep.
This is a quick snap taken this afternoon from what I believe is the back of the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest in Marrakech, dating back to the 12th century. It’s located about 200 meters west of the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and is, at 77m, the tallest building in the city.
My layout doesn’t play nicely with vertical images so my apologies for the (almost) double image post. If square is your preferred crop, you can also see a version on Instagram.
