Tune du Jour: The Henrys – “A Weaker One”

The first track from the Toronto-based ensemble The Henrys’ seventh album “Quiet Industry“, released this week. Like some of their other work I’ve heard, it’s a blend of folk, jazz and pop that winds up more easily classified as ‘none of the above’. And therein lies its powerful appeal. It’s sublime and understated. But not quite either. Do you see where I’m going with this?

I Just moved them to the top of my weekend list for further exploration. Monday’s a holiday here, so the weekend will be an extended one. And for that I’m grateful. Check this space for an update next week.
