Iglesia de la Candelaria II

With that unmistakable yellow hue, the photographic possibilities at the 18th century Iglesia de la Candelaria in central Bogota are limitless. All you need is some patience, and not even very much of that. I’m already looking forward to my return later in the month when I’ll actually take the time to go in as well.

Another image, but taken on the side to the left, is here.

And for the record, Today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 537th (!!) straight, was snapped on 13 June 2015 in Bogota, Colombia. And, tossed into the mix for this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge, ‘Door‘.

This is such a beautiful capture, and I love how you got the man in the shot too. Looks like he’s pondering something, deep in thought. Brilliant yellow hue, nice and vivid and I’m sure it’s hard to not notice that building.

Thanks Mabel – not sure what was going through his mind, but he was apparently waiting outside for his wife, who joined him a minute or two after I took this. The building is wonderful. Looking forward to returning.
