I presume flyposting is legal in certain areas and on certain buildings of the Colombian capital. Or, at least, legally tolerated. I’ve seen quite a few hangers, armed with just a bucket, brush and a bike, working anonymously on the busiest streets during the busiest hours.
I ran into one today who was hanging posters for the upcoming El Espejo Film Festival. I liked its upside down world design feature –it’s not visible from this snap, my apologies– and asked the girl with a bag full of them if I could have one. Her answer was a firm no.
“We want people to know about the festival,” she said.
For the record, the lead photo, which serves as today’s Pic du Jour, the blog’s 559th straight, was snapped in Bogota, Colombia, on 25 July 2015.
