Mannequin Monday #68

Today’s addition to the planet’s largest repository of blighted mannequins, just the standard sweater-wearing teenager with a chipped neck, mismatched eyeliner and partially missing scalp was spotted in the historical center of Quito, Ecuador, just up the hill from the trendy La Ronda neighborhood. When I saw the display, I turned back immediately.

New to this weekly series? Then I strongly encourage you to invest just a few minutes and catch up here. And here, too, with a special video presentation (rounded out by a killer soundtrack!) I put together to celebrate the project’s first year and wholly unexpected one year anniversary. It’ll all conspire to make your Monday a whole lot better than it already is and serve as a reminder that your week can only get better from here.

By the way, this image, snapped on 22 April 2015, also serves as today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 619th (!!) straight. When you’ve got a few minutes to spare, you can check out some of those here. Enjoy!

Poor chap. It would appear that he underwent some quite extensive neurosurgery at some stage and they didn’t do a very good job of closing him up again. A hat would seem appropriate to preserve his dignity and standing.
