Mannequin Monday #76

Ice cream monger, BeirutToday’s addition to the planet’s largest repository of blighted mannequins isn’t really a mannequin but it is blighted enough to pass for one. And it was spotted today here in Beirut, which makes it even more fitting to carry the Mannequin Monday moniker.

New to this weekly series? Then I strongly encourage you to invest just a few minutes and catch up here — just to see if you recognize anyone. And here, too, with a special video presentation (rounded out by a killer soundtrack!) I put together to celebrate the Mannequin Monday project’s first year — an entirely unexpected one year anniversary. It’ll all conspire to make your Monday just a little bit better than it already is and to serve as a blunt reminder that your week will only get better from here. Again, you’re very welcome. And don’t forget to tell your friends.

By the way, this image also serves as today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 675th (!!) straight. When you’ve got a few minutes to spare, you can check out some of those here. Enjoy!

Poor thing, I’m not sure he’d be that cute even without the blight…

What a great discovery this series is!
I have accidentally started a theme of posting of garden gnomes on my instagram, strangely mostly on Fridays, so not nearly so alliterative!
I love how visual your blog is, as someone who lives a lot in my own head with words and reads a lot of other people’s words, sometimes I feel like I need a different kind of input and your posts are so evocative. Now following.

Your video is terrific and well done for choosing such an overlooked feature of society. I won’t look at a mannequin in the same way again.

Thanks for checking it out. It’s not easy finding such blighted mannequins, you know. 🙂
