Reflections on Trains – Mile End Tube Stop, London

After reflecting a bit about train travel last night, I remembered this shot from a few years ago.

This was taken at London’s Mile End tube station in August 2012, my stop for 13 days when I was covering the Olympic Games that summer. I really liked the woman’s still reflection on the train as it and time whizzed by.

Did you take many of the Olympic park? We were back in London last Summer and I got my first chance to visit properly (we left the UK in 2012) I’m a big fan of modern architecture, so it was a treat.

Nice shot at Mile End station. Capturing meaningful moments among the hustle and bustle of everyday life is a great skill.

Not too many, mostly crowd shots. I was at the Games on assignment so really saw little beyond the athletics at the Olympic stadium. (Not that I’m complaining.)

I enjoy hanging out at metro stops. Photo opportunities are everywhere if you take the time to find them.
