The daily travel photo returns to the recent Vietnam theme today with this portrait of a woman in the central market in the northern highlands city of Sapa who sold me a cheap pair of pants I’ll probably never wear. At least I haven’t yet. But this portrait does however hang in my living room/office.
Today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 774th straight, was taken in Sapa, Vietnam, on 20 October 2010.

I like the contrast of colors and the happy expression on her face. Well done!
She brought a smile to my face. I see why you bought those pants.
She was very nice, understated. Not nearly as aggressive as most of the others.
I am sure. People everywhere can be extremely pushy.
It’s always good to contribute to a local economy!
Wonderfully uplifting photo, her face, the lovely bright colours, and a sowing machine like I remember my mother using!! Lovely shot.
Come on. Let’s see you model the pants!
