Pic du Jour: Grand Canal at Sunset, Venice

As the title suggests, today’s daily travel pic illustrates the Grand Canal, the main waterway thoroughfare in Venice, Italy, just before the sun set on an early autumn evening.

It’s rare to find late afternoon or early evening sunlight that so evenly drapes its subject. In my mind, this was one of those times.

    1. I’ve been many times in all seasons and autumn is the nicest. Although I’m sure with the right conditions winter could be quite nice, too.

  1. It’s a beautifully captured glance into the Venice life. I particularly liked how elegant the waterway looks in the midst of the setting sun.
Visiting Venice is on my bucket list for sure.
