Like last Monday’s, today’s addition to the planet’s largest repository of blighted mannequins was spotted at the Souq Waqif in Doha, the main old style, albeit completely refurbished, central market in the Qatari capital. And, apparently, found after bouncing face first on and off the concrete floors a few too many times.
Like in many other parts of the world, here too I was on the receiving end of a very quizzical look when taking the photo. Is this project really that odd? Maybe I shouldn’t be asking that question. Never mind.
New to this weekly series?
Then I strongly encourage you to invest just a few minutes and catch up here. And here, too, with a special video presentation (rounded out by a killer soundtrack!) I put together to celebrate the Mannequin Monday project’s first year — an entirely unexpected one year anniversary. It’ll all conspire to make your Monday just a little bit better than it already is and to serve as a blunt reminder that your week will only get better from here. Again, you’re very welcome. And don’t forget to tell your friends.
By the way, this image, snapped on 21-Feb-2016, also serves as today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 787th (!!) straight. When you’ve got a few minutes to spare, you can check out some of those here. Enjoy!
