I spent much of today updating my site with a new theme and layout, and managed to make it through to the the other side with just a few scuffs, scrapes and scratches. It’s still a little rough around the edges, but nonetheless functional — much like today’s addition to the world’s largest depository of blighted mannequins, spotted a couple years ago in Essaouira, Morocco.
A few comments and trackbacks were were lost in the shuffle during the transition; my apologies for that.
I like the new look; the theme feels a little lighter and has plenty of options that I’ll be playing and experimenting with over the next few weeks. And hopefully I and the site will survive it all with nary a scratch.
New to this weekly series?
Then I strongly encourage you to invest just a few minutes and catch up here. And here, too, with a special video presentation (rounded out by a killer soundtrack!) I put together to celebrate the Mannequin Monday project’s first year — an entirely unexpected one year anniversary. It’ll all conspire to make your Monday just a little bit better than it already is and to serve as a blunt reminder that your week will only get better from here. Again, you’re very welcome. And don’t forget to tell your friends.
By the way, this image, snapped on 18-Sep-2014, also serves as today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 801st (!!) straight. When you’ve got a few minutes to spare, you can check out some of those here. Enjoy!
