From the aging portion of Slovenian Railways’ fleet, this is LP 2416 departing Ljubljana this afternoon for the northwestern border town of Jesenice.
It’s been a train day. I awoke humming and singing Peter Tosh. I read about the Trans-Siberian over coffee. A quick late afternoon stop at the station seemed predestined. It was a practical visit, to gather info for my annual ‘From Ljubljana by Train’ post (which I’ll be publishing next week). Next time I’ll buy a ticket.
And for the record: Today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 1,090th straight, was snapped in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 28 December 2016.
