This was taken at Tierra del Fuego National Park in Argentina’s extreme southern reaches, one of the southernmost parks on the planet. It’s also a place where you’ll typically experience 3 1/2 seasons in one day. This was taken in mid-afternoon, just before the sun came out after a brisk shower.

Today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 1,131st straight, was snapped on 02 Feb 2013, in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
