10 Hours of White Noise Sounds From the Frozen Arctic

Via Open Culture, one of my favorite pages and sites, about as chill as you can get: a 10 hour video illustration of Arctic ambience where an idling icebreaker sits on a frozen ocean with cracking ice, falling snow and distant howling winds conspiring to compose its soundtrack. Needn’t listen to it all at once. 🙂

That’s amazing. I’m listening now. Ten minutes won’t be too long at all.

It is remarkably soothing. I made it through nearly five hours a couple days ago before remembering that I had it on in the first place.

Wow — that’s beautiful. I think I’ll bookmark it and listen to the entire thing in July. (I live in Phoenix, Arizona.)
