Beautiful animal, no?
I was hoping to finish up today with most of my shots from my recent ramblings around Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park, but it didn’t come to pass. I’m shooting for tomorrow. In the meantime, here’s a little informal introduction, one of about 3,000 African elephants that call the park home. I especially liked the setting here, on the Kasenyi Plains, no more than three kilometers south of the equator, with the Rwenzori Mountain range in the background.

For the record, today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 1,194th straight, was snapped in Queen Elizabeth National Park, western Uganda, 29 March 2017.
