The season’s first cherries here in Slovenia are the first subjects of my new mobile phone. Odd seeing a file automatically titled File_000. Reminds me too much of a virus’s Patient Zero.
This was a scene at Ljubljana’s central market this morning where cherries from the western Goriska Brda area were selling like mad. Prices €5-7/kilo. That’s US$ 2.50-3.50/pound.
For the record: today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 1,233rd straight, was snapped in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 20 May 2017.
