James Joyce Slept Here, Revisited

For today’s Bloomsday 2017 celebration, today’s Pic du Jour, the site’s 1,260th (!) straight, points back to this post, which points to a couple small plaques in Ljubljana’s train station that memorialize the chilly October evening in 1904 that James Joyce spent in the Slovenian capital.

Are you planning to celebrate? My goal, now an annual one which I fail miserably, is to once again try to read Ulysses. (No, not in Slovenian. Plain English is probably painful enough.) If you consider trying to read Ulysses a form of celebration, I just found a free edition for Kindle. Thank me if you finish. 🙂
