Wine In Transit: Ljubljana Airport – May 2018

For those of you who, like me, shop for wine at airports, here’s a bit of advance legwork for those of you passing through Ljubljana, Slovenia’s charming capital, this month. You’re welcome.

The selection is fairly compact but overall quite good, with decent offerings at just about all price points. The only thing missing really is a sample dispenser that’s becoming increasingly familiar in airports around Europe. I price-checked mostly from memory;  no insanely good bargains stood out, but most weren’t outrageously over-priced, either. A few were.

Note: while these photos (taken on 19 May) will (obviously) eventually wind up here on the site, they’re almost immediately posted to my Instagram stories.

Note II: I think the prices are visible in most of the photos; my apologies for those that aren’t. The lighting and glare wasn’t dancing very nicely with my camera that morning.

If you’d like more specific advice about some of the wines pictured, drop me a line. I’m always happy to dish some out.
